Location: New York, NY 10172
Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:

The Middle Office Operations Associate will support trade finance operations by ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of financial transactions. The role requires strong knowledge of trade finance products, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, supply chain finance, trade loans, and both commercial and standby letters of credit. The Associate will act as a key liaison between the front office, back office, and customers to facilitate smooth operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily funding requests and ensure all transactions are processed accurately and on time.

  • Conduct compliance and sanctions screening for all trade finance transactions to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Calculate discount proceeds for trade finance instruments and ensure proper allocation in the system.

  • Review and process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions related to trade finance.

  • Support supply chain finance operations, including monitoring and reconciling trade loans.

  • Communicate effectively with customers, front office teams, and back office operations to resolve issues and provide timely updates.

  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and documentation to support audit and regulatory requirements.

  • Assist in process improvements and ensure operational best practices are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Direct experience in Trade Finance operations is required.
