Position Overview
The Senior Manager, FP&A plays a pivotal role in leading the forecasting and budgeting cycles for CMH. This role is also responsible for KPI development and monitoring, driving change in the operations, and monthly management and corporate reporting.
In this high-impact position, you will be instrumental in building strong partnerships across our operations and business teams. Your expertise will be crucial in deciphering the key dynamics influencing CMH’s financial results, pinpointing areas for improvement, and identifying opportunities to mitigate risks and enhance overall financial performance. You will also lead critical quantitative and qualitative analysis to support decision making at the Executive Leadership Team level.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead The Forecasting and Planning Processes: In conjunction with the SVP Finance, manage Annual Operating Plan (budget) and Long-Term Strategic Plan processes. This includes defining timelines, setting planning assumptions, and collaborating across internal departments and operational functions on the build-up and validation of the plans. Develop and implement a robust forecasting process.
  • Financial Reports and Dashboards: Prepare, refresh, and distribute critical reports for the Executive Leadership Team, Lodge and Area Managers and others as needed summarizing and highlighting key aspects of the company’s financial performance and underlying drivers. Review and suggest areas for improvement with recipients.
  • Capital Reporting and Forecasting: Working with the Director of Facilities, oversee and provide input on the capital reporting and forecasting process both in the short-term and long-term. Provide input on capital requests relating to financial modeling and alignment to strategic priorities.
  • Review Month End Results: In conjunction with the shared services accounting team, review the month end results, make changes where necessary and fully understand the results.
  • Continuous Improvement and Change Management: Drive ongoing enhancements to planning and forecasting processes, employing post-mortem and stakeholder reviews, adopting tools and emerging technologies as appropriate to support CMH’s need for business insights.
  • Internal Controls Management: Ownership of the delegation of authority and spending limit policies. Work with various personnel on identifying gaps in the controls and implementing changes as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least five years of FP&A experience. CPA Designation.
  • Strong background in financial planning & analysis, including KPI development and effective management reporting. Deep knowledge of financial modeling, sensitivity analysis and planning processes.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop teams.
  • Deep knowledge of Excel and ability to develop and maintain complex financial models.
