Job Title : Senior P&C Insurance Business Analyst / Functional SME (Hybrid)
Overview / Summary
We are seeking an experienced P&C Insurance Business Analyst / Functional SME with a background in Insurance Accounting or FP&A. The associate will help lead a data migration project for a US-based Managing General Agent (MGA), focusing on validating migrated data, reconciling financial numbers, and working directly with the client's business and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review migrated insurance data, including premiums, claims, commissions, and general ledger mappings, across different divisions to ensure accuracy.
  • Meet with the client's finance, accounting, and underwriting teams to explain data findings, resolve discrepancies, and obtain approval.
  • Compare old system data with new target system data to ensure financial numbers match for reporting and accounting.
  • Create test scenarios for finance and policy workflows.
  • Guide the client through testing and secure final sign-offs.

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / SME in P&C Insurance (Property & Casualty).
  • Clear understanding of insurance finance, including premiums, loss reserves, commissions, and financial reconciliation/FP&A.
  • Familiarity with how US MGAs or Program Managers operate.
  • Hands-on experience checking migrated data and source-to-target data mapping.
  • Experience using basic SQL to run queries.
  • Comfortable running meetings with US business and finance leaders.
  • Graduate or above.

Good-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience with major P&C platforms such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or OneShield, or MGA policy systems.
