Responsibilities
Finance Technology is where finance expertise meets cutting-edge innovation to power one of the world's leading pharmaceutical companies. Finance Technology sits at the intersection of data, automation, and artificial intelligence; modernizing how Lilly's finance organization operates by building smarter systems, streamlining processes, and driving digital transformation at scale.
During your summer intern you will:
  • Work on a real project spanning the areas of data strategy, SAP solutions, emerging technologies like AI, and portfolio management, working alongside experienced professionals who are reimagining what finance can look like in a tech-driven world.

  • Build a deeper understanding of the pharmaceutical industry

  • Gather insights into how Lilly delivers innovative solutions through SAP and other financial systems.

  • Work on a weeklong intensive case study competition with other finance, procurement, and SAP interns

  • Gain exposure to senior leadership and learn more about career paths and opportunities.

At the conclusion of the 12-week internship, each intern will present their project highlights, findings and general internship accomplishments to SAP Business Process and IT professionals.
As part of Lilly's commitment to innovation, interns will have the opportunity to build fluency with AI tools used across the business. We expect interns to approach these tools with curiosity, apply critical thinking to AI-assisted work, and always prioritize accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards in how they use them.
Basic Qualifications
  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or master's degree in a business-related field with a concentration in accounting, finance, or data analytics, or a quantitatively focused field such as computer science, data science, information technology, or statistics with relevant business, accounting, or finance coursework, and expected to graduate by August 2028.

  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.

  • All interns will be considered for full-time positions based on their internship performance
  • Lilly arranges various intern activities including sporting events, dinners, lunch and learns, volunteer activities etc. to provide opportunities for socializing, professional development, and learning more about Lilly.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$60,000.00 - $65,600.00
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
