We are looking for an experienced IFS Finance Business Systems Specialist to provide subject matter expertise for IFS Cloud and related financial systems across the Videndum Group.
This role will support system configuration, optimisation, data integrity, integrations, business change, and continuous improvement to ensure our finance processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with Videndum's One ERP programme.
You will work closely with finance stakeholders, IT teams, implementation partners, regional teams, and external suppliers to help deliver successful system adoption and continuous improvement across our global business.
What You'll Do
IFS Administration & Support
  • Serve as the primary internal IFS finance functional specialist for finance-related systems and processes.
  • Support incidents, service requests, troubleshooting, and system configurations across:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Fixed Assets
    • Intercompany processes
  • Manage user access, security roles, and segregation of duties within IFS to maintain appropriate controls and compliance.
  • Diagnose and resolve application issues while coordinating with IT, implementation partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify root causes of system issues and help ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation, configuration records, process documentation, and operational runbooks.
Business Process Improvement & Change
  • Partner with finance process owners to review, map, and optimise end-to-end finance processes within IFS.
  • Promote process consistency and standardisation across the Videndum Group.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and other business change activities.
  • Participate in design workshops, functional reviews, testing, user acceptance testing, and cutover planning.
  • Help minimise operational disruption during system deployments and upgrades.
  • Develop user guides, training materials, and other system documentation.
  • Deliver training sessions and ongoing user support to increase system adoption and build internal capability.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual activity.
Data & Integrations
  • Support data quality, cleansing, and governance activities for finance master and transactional data.
  • Assist with data migration, consolidation, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Work with integration teams to design, test, and maintain interfaces between IFS and other business systems, including:
    • Payroll
    • Treasury
    • Procurement
    • Banking platforms
    • Reporting systems
  • Support data extraction, validation, and reconciliation for financial reporting, month-end close, and audit requirements.
  • Help ensure financial data remains accurate, complete, and consistent across integrated systems.
Governance, Controls & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure finance system configurations and processes support internal controls, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Contribute to the finance systems roadmap and continuous improvement strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, strengthen financial controls, and reduce manual effort.
  • Participate in release planning and testing activities for IFS updates and third-party system changes.
  • Evaluate the potential impact of system changes on finance processes and users.
  • Support internal control testing and external audit activities by providing system evidence, documentation, and explanations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Build strong working relationships with finance business partners, regional finance teams, IT, implementation partners, and external suppliers.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand business requirements and prioritise system enhancements.
  • Translate technical system capabilities into practical business solutions.
  • Represent Finance in cross-functional projects and provide guidance on system capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
  • Communicate system changes, issues, risks, and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support finance teams across multiple locations and countries as part of Videndum's global systems environment.
What We're Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience working with IFS Cloud or IFS Applications in a finance functional, ERP, or business systems role.
  • Strong understanding of core finance processes, including:
    • General Ledger
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Fixed Assets
    • Intercompany accounting
    • Period-end and month-end close activities
  • Experience supporting ERP system configurations, enhancements, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with data migrations and system integrations.
  • Experience working within a multi-site and/or multi-country environment.
  • Strong knowledge of data reconciliation, data governance, and master data management principles.
  • Experience supporting system testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Experience developing training materials and delivering system training to users.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities and system functionality into practical business solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across global teams.
  • Familiarity with finance controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards.
  • Knowledge of SOX controls and local statutory requirements is desirable.

  • Hands-on experience with IFS Cloud Studio, IFS configuration tools, or IFS reporting tools.
  • Experience working on ERP consolidation, implementation, transformation, or global rollout programmes.
  • Knowledge of system integration technologies such as:

  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting platforms.
  • Finance or accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.

Education & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Business Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Work Environment & Travel
This is a flexible / hybrid position supporting stakeholders across Videndum's international operations.
The role may require:
