Job description

We are searching for a Technology Sales Sector Specialist to join Bernstein's Institutional Sales team in New York.

The ideal candidate will combine technology industry expertise with strong analytical and communication skills to maximize the impact of Bernstein's world-class technology research products.

As a Technology Sector Specialist, you will:

       Synthetize significant inputs including: investor sentiment, positioning, Bernstein research calls and products, sector news and events to communicate impactfully with clients and internal stakeholders

       Frame research and products to help identify opportunities for the Bernstein team to add value to investors

       Work closely with the research teams to stay current on controversies and emerging trends in the space and share these perspectives with the generalist sales team.

       Maintain constant coverage of industry news, trends, and developments, and, when appropriate, disseminate your insights to internal and external stakeholders

       Liaise with internal sales and trading teams in response to news, corporate action, and company reporting

       Co-host expert events with research analysts

       Work with the Investor Access team to develop and organize relevant marketing opportunities

       Specialists should be comfortable making 500 calls a year and available for regular marketing trips and events

The role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and includes a competitive benefits package including 401(k) plan with company match, Medical/Dental/Vision, and other benefits for fertility, wellness, student loans and commuters. Actual base salary offer will vary based on skills and experience.

Basic Qualifications

       Proven understanding of global equity markets, company financials, asset allocation and strategy

       Commercial skills to market and monetize research content

       Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or similar

       Graduate degree in finance, technology or related field

       Prior experience in technology equity research.
