Accountant


We are seeking a detail-oriented and hotel or hospitality experienced Accountant to join our finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our organization while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting various financial processes.


Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records and financial statements

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing

- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly

- Maintain Property Cash banks, and Safe and ensure proper protocol is followed in issuance and return of cash banks

- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations

- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in accounting software

- Collaborate with other departments to support financial planning and analysis



Requirements

ย Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or associate degree in accounting, finance, hospitality, or a related field preferred but not required

- Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role in hospitality preferred

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)

- Understanding of cash handling policies and Cashiering

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards

- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively

- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
