PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT 

Trains and assists with Retail accounting functions for the Summer of 2027.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNTIONS 

May train and assist with: 

  • Account reconciliations 
  • Preparation and analysis of financial reports/dashboards 
  • Process documentation/automation opportunities 
  • Annual budget process/forecasting initiatives that arise 
  • Audit schedule preparation 
  • Reconciliation standardization, such as bank, credit card, and general ledger (GL) 
  • Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply 
  • Other project work as assigned 

REQUIREMENTS 

Must be pursuing an Accounting or Finance degree at a 4-year university in good academic standing at the time the internship begins. 

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development. 

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position. 

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS 

Participate in all GROWMARK Internship Program activities and meetings. 

Ability to work a minimum of 12 weeks over the Summer, starting May 24, 2027, at the latest. 

Attend three required internship events:  

  • May 24-25, 2027: Orientation Meeting (Bloomington, IL) 
  • June 28-30, 2027: Mid-Summer Meeting (Location TBD) 
  • August 11-12, 2027: Conclusion Meeting (Bloomington, IL) 

Actively participate in mentoring, networking, and professional development opportunities. 

Complete and present a summer internship project. 

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel, including occasional overnight travel. 

Ability to complete required training and comply with company policies and procedures.
