Job description

To provide technical financial support for an assigned organization unit. To review requests and determine appropriateness with regard to institutional requirements, proper authorization, and conformance with established regulations. To assist with the maintenance and reconciliation of budgets and accounts, review requisitions, and order equipment and supplies. To collect financial information and provide reports and analyses as needed. 

This position is to assist the distribution of payroll, Green Phire and Visa gift cards. Assists employees with departmental inquiries via telephone and email. Assists with Touchnet Cashiering to process student and departmental deposits. Balance cash, checks and credit cards of all deposits received for the current day. Verify and process Advancement and the GA29 reports when needed. Scan and batch all deposits and backup work to be stored into Onbase for the close of the day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Processes financial transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepares and analyzes financial reports for management.
  • Assists in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Ensures compliance with financial policies and regulations.
  • Provides support during audits and financial reviews.
  • Assists with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Provides training and support to staff regarding financial software and processes.
  • Conducts cost-benefit analysis, ROI analysis, or other financial assessments for new
    projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
     

Salary Range: $15.00 -  $15.45

Associate's degree and two (2) years of experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

prior experience working in banking, handling checks, cash, receipts and/or in customer service.
