Position Summary:
  • The Finance Operations Associate assists the Director of Finance Operations to manage and organize the needs and special projects of the finance department via the finance operations team. The Finance Operations Associate works closely with other members of the finance operations team, finance regional and coalition fundraising team, and finance leadership to manage the correspondence program, run the team's senior leadership and officer call time program, coordinate and facilitate the National Finance Committee program and communications, and assist in other projects to support the team.
  • This position is based in Washington, DC. The applicant must be detail-oriented, possess strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills, and have political campaign experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the major donor correspondence and thank you note program.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the National Finance Committee (NFC) program, including drafting all written communications to the NFC.
  • Manage and staff finance call time program with DNC Officers and members of the DNC Senior Leadership Team.
  • Pull regular reports in NGP.
  • Assist in special projects and support the Director of Finance Operations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 1-2 years campaign or political committee experience.
  • Working knowledge of NGP database and report pulling.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including error-free written communications.
  • Precise attention to detail and strong copy editing skills.
  • Ability to work and build relationships with leaders, staff, and members at all levels.
  • Travel may be required.

Travel: The Finance Operations Associate position will require travel, which could be up to 15% of the time.
Salary: The starting salary for the Finance Operations Associate position is $54,100, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which means you will be eligible for overtime pay for hours worked in excess of 40 in a given workweek. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.
