Energy & Project Finance Associate (4–7 Years) – U.S. Offices | Hybrid


Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking an Energy & Project Finance Associate to join a leading law firm’s nationally recognized practice. This role focuses on complex project finance transactions, with an emphasis on renewable energy and energy transition matters.


Responsibilities

  • Draft and negotiate key transaction documents, including purchase agreements, financing agreements, and joint venture agreements
  • Advise sponsors, investors, developers, and lenders on project finance transactions
  • Support renewable energy and infrastructure deals
  • Manage deal execution in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of project finance experience (renewables/energy transition preferred)
  • Strong drafting and transactional skills
  • Ability to take ownership of complex deal components
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction required
