Description of Position
TPG is seeking a Senior Associate in Fund Finance to focus on all aspects of fund operations for its opportunistic real estate credit platform, TRECO. Following the successful $2.1 billion final close of our latest fund, this role is pivotal to scaling the platform and managing a diverse portfolio that includes high-yield senior loans, subordinate debt, and preferred equity positions.
The ideal candidate is a quick learner and self-driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This role offers considerable growth potential and is essential to driving the future success of TPG's integrated real estate debt and equity platform.
Principal Responsibilities
  • Fund Deliverables & Metrics: Prepare key fund deliverables, including complex loan and financing fundings, drawdowns, and quarterly operating metrics for the TRECO portfolio.
  • Analytical Reporting: Develop and maintain sophisticated analytical reports and ad hoc analyses to support the investment team in monitoring double-digit cash-on-cash yields and risk-adjusted returns.
  • Strategic Fund Formation: Coordinate firmwide fund formation activities, acting as a liaison between Legal, Investor Relations, and Fund Accounting to support the launch of new credit strategies and side-car vehicles.
  • Liquidity & Leverage Management: Monitor leverage facilities and fund-level liquidity, ensuring efficient capital deployment across industrial, multifamily, and other core real estate sectors.
  • Compliance & Excellence: Ensure rigorous compliance with SOX standards and internal controls while fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous process improvement.
  • Platform Integration: Support the broader Real Estate Credit team in interpreting data from varied sources, including banks and non-bank lenders, to provide a holistic view of the market's capital structure.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting and finance. Prior experience in Big Four public accounting or Financial Services (Private Credit/Real Estate) is highly preferred.
  • Proven expert-level proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, data interpretation) and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with data visualization or automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, or Tableau) is a significant plus.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices as they relate to Commercial Real Estate (CRE) debt, including senior/subordinate loans and CMBS/CLO structures.
  • Capacity to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment across group lines to achieve goals in a dynamic investing environment.
  • Results-oriented with strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task under the pressure of fund-closing and reporting deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with strong oral and written communication abilities for reporting to senior leadership.
