As Senior Director of Finance, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the President & CEO, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Leadership Team, providing financial insights that support critical business decisions, long-term growth, and organizational success.

What You'll Do

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute the company's strategic, operational, and financial goals.
  • Provide financial analysis, business insights, and recommendations that drive decision-making and performance.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify opportunities for cost optimization, operational efficiency, and process improvement.
  • Support merger and acquisition evaluations, due diligence efforts, and integration activities.
  • Assist with financial analysis and development of grant proposals and strategic funding opportunities.

Financial Leadership & Operations

  • Lead and oversee key finance and accounting functions, including:
    • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
    • Financial Reporting
    • General Ledger Accounting
    • Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
    • Treasury & Cash Management
    • Payroll
    • Fixed Assets
    • Capital Projects Accounting
    • Project Controls & Finance Support
  • Oversee annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency.
  • Develop financial models, business cases, and performance analyses to support strategic initiatives.

Accounting, Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial policies, and internal controls.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting matters and complex business transactions.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support Board reporting, governance activities, and executive presentations.
  • Assist with audit activities and ensure strong financial governance practices.

Treasury & Capital Management

  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital performance.
  • Support banking relationships and financing activities.
  • Analyze capital investment opportunities and expenditure proposals.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive process automation and operational efficiencies across finance functions.

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA and/or MBA required.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
  • 5+ years of management or senior finance leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple finance disciplines within a complex organization.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and internal controls.
  • Experience presenting financial information to executive leadership and Boards of Directors.
  • Advanced financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial management software.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Big Four public accounting experience.
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, and business integrations.
  • Experience working within multinational organizations.
  • Telecommunications, infrastructure, utility, manufacturing, or other regulated-industry experience.
