Job Summary:

As a financial accountant - you will prepare financial analyses/budgets and act as a liaison to senior management for the interpretation of financial data. Prepare monthly financial management reports and assist in the monthly reviews. Work under general supervision but can act independently. Position reports to the Senior Leadership

  • Financial Accountant Essential Functions:
  • Prepares and reviews monthly financial results for senior management. Analyzes profit and loss statements, prepares general analyses, and completes special projects/reporting as required.
  • Provides presentations to senior and line management covering topics such as financial performance, improvements needed and changes to financial outlook.
  • Responds to questions/problems regarding financial statements and budgets.
  • Proactively performs research and analyses on profit and loss statements to understand key trends and issues.
  • Prepares monthly financial management reports comparing current performance with year-to-date results and budget projections. Reviews/prepares monthly general closing entries, analyzes preliminary monthly performance and defines variances.
  • Adheres to and participates in Company's mandatory HIPAA privacy program/practices and Business Ethics and Compliance programs/practices.
  • Reviews and adheres to all Company policies and procedures and the Employee Handbook.
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Financial Accountant Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Finance, Accounting or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience preparing/analyzing financial statements, budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting/analysis.
  • Prior financial experience in Health Care preferred
  • Experience in SAP, Adaptive Insights and Microstrategy preferred
