Job description

The Accounting Coordinator obtains and processes data for use in maintaining various accounting records and compiles reports to provide financial information, as well as assist in the month end closing process by performing the following duties:

  • Process and maintain all Accounts Payable information
  • Process weekly hourly Payroll and address any employee questions
  • Daily accounting for all scrap shipments
  • Accounting for freight invoices
  • Assist in month-end inventory process
  • Prepare closing entries and month-end reports
  • Coordinate all records retention activities
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by Plant Accountant or Controller

Requires knowledge of basic accounting principles, data processing, and payroll concepts. An Associate or Bachelor's degree in a business-related field is preferred.

If non-degreed, 2 to 4 years of experience in the areas of Accounts Payable and/or Payroll is required.
