Job description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring product quality through interpreting customer requirements, inspecting products and documenting results.
Job Duties:
  • Inspects manufactured or out-sourced products for non-conformities.
  • Manages the receiving inspection process of raw materials.
  • Data collection (scrap, non-conformances, corrective actions).
  • Inspects product using micrometers, calipers and other inspection systems.
  • Maintains Quality Control/Inspection Department Records and inputs data into ERP
  • Calibrates instruments and gauges used for product inspection and maintains calibration system records.
  • Responsible for identifying quality defects throughout the production processes.
  • Supports corrective/preventive actions, as well as continuous improvement activities.
  • Performs any other assigned duty as directed by management.
  • Develops, performs sampling plans, and makes acceptance decisions.
  • Performs First Article Inspections (FAI), verify and validate process, documentation, tooling, and equipment.
  • Staying up to date with Quality and industry standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
  • 4 to 6 years Quality Control inspections experience preferred
  • Recognized Quality Control certification preferred.
  • Quality Control/Inspection experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • ISO9001 :2015 experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of mechanical engineering is a plus.
  • Intermediate / advanced computer skills in MS Office preferred.

These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $25.00 - 35.00 hourly. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
