Job Description
Overview
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting David Yurman products to ensure compliance to the quality standard.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, communication of evaluation results.
  • Perform XRF Analysis on incoming Components and Finished Goods.
  • Perform scan of diamonds in First Production goods.
  • Conduct regular Finished Goods audits.
  • Assist in documentation of defects and communication to contractors and suppliers.
  • Research and resolve special projects related to specific product and process defects. Work closely with Repairs, Returns, Product Engineering, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Inventory.
  • Participate in PD Test product reviews, provide feedback and approvals as appropriate.
  • Participate in Dual source product evaluations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years jewelry experience preferred.
  • Experienced working as part of a Team
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and written communication skills.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets required.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes is preferred.

Education: GIA Certification a plus
Location: Lyndhurst, NJ
Hourly Rate: $23 hr
Travel: Some travel may be required.
Work Schedule: In office Monday through Friday 8:00a-5:30p EST (occasional Saturday needs)
