Description

Job Summary:

Perform first article inspection, final and in process testing, and gage calibration to customer and design requirements. Perform data entry, problem solving, and other quality control activities as assigned by management.


Eligible for 2nd shift differential


Essential Job Functions:

  • Assure consistent quality of production by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice (GMP) systems using, but not limited to, Micrometers, Calipers, Thread & Pin Gauges, Surface Plates and Height Gauges for validation
  • Validate processes, through inspection, and document findings appropriately
  • Provide accurate and complete documentation, including developing Quality instructions
  • Managing workload and pace to accomplish internal productivity goals
  • Ability to take engineering drawings and create, document, and implement inspection and test plans to validate quality parts more efficiently
  • Ability to read and communicate blueprints to shop floor personnel
  • Push, Pull, Lift, and Carry up to 45 lbs.
  • Completing process documentation accurately and completely
  • Must be familiar with data entry and proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read and follow documented procedures, standards, and/or instructions
  • Participate in training opportunities


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Visual and Mechanical Inspection of manufactured components using, but not limited to, Micrometers, Calipers, Thread & Pin Gauges, Surface Plates and Height Gauges required
  • High School Diploma and a minimum of one (1) to five (5) years of related Quality Control experience required
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with colleagues and departmental leadership required
  • Evaluating Certificate of Conformance validity for material and/or special process preferred
  • Processing First Article Inspections preferred
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 certified manufacturing environment preferred
