Job Overview
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for all quality inspection issues as they apply to the functional operation of the contract. This role specializes in Logistics QC. This is a full time, onsite position on Maxwell Air Force base in Montgomery, Alabama.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties:
  • Act as the shop-level point of contact for all inspection issues, including regulatory compliance.
  • Perform audits, surveillance inspections, and performance metric validations. Completes audit, surveillance, and metric reports for all assigned areas.
  • Analyze data to identify areas of improvement in the current processes. Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventative actions along with area supervisors and managers.
  • Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
  • Serve as liaison to government quality representatives to ensure the program quality system complements and complies with Government, regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Identifies and works compliance issues as they apply to the functional operation of this contract.
  • Focuses on maintaining a quality compliant workplace.
  • Helps maintain the CMMS, its associated databases and update as required to provide for accurate reports regarding QA/QC.
  • Assists in developing & disseminating plans and procedures for the QA/QC program and/or operating policies.
  • Assists in reviewing site work to verify compliance in accordance with applicable plans, procedures, guides and regulations.
  • Plans and organizes work to meet schedules and timelines in an environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Originates necessary documents, forms, reports, etc. and queries various computer work systems to extract information concerning projects, materials, or services.
  • Ensures timely submission of required reports to the customer.
  • Conduct QA/QC meetings and training when requested; develops training materials as required.
  • Maintains effective working relationships in cooperation with the Chugach management team to meet the mission objectives of the contract.
  • Keeps Program Manager apprised of any unique situations and problems encountered.
  • Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.

  • Accountable to the Quality Control & Safety Manager for accomplishing all functions and tasks required to perform duties stated herein.
  • Timely, accurate, cost-effective performance of duties.
  • Clear communication with other employees, subordinates, subcontractors and the customer.
  • Working closely and harmoniously with other employees, subordinates, subcontractors and the customer.
  • Working independently without continuous supervision.

Job Requirements
Mandatory:
  • 1+ year of experience in quality management. Air Force QC experience preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in Logistics: transportation or supply.
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of applicable Government environmental regulations.
  • Ability to perform quantitative analysis.
  • Knowledge of industry standards for QC.
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a Secret Security clearance.
  • Ability to acquire and maintain government identification/common access card.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
  • Driver's License, with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
  • U.S. Citizenship.
