Wieland is hiring a Quality Supervisor. The Quality Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the Quality Technician, Lead Quality Inspector and two quality inspectors. Also works with other departments to correct quality concerns that affect site performance. Responsible for the thorough investigation of customer quality concerns, internal rejections and other non-conformances of the Quality Management System. Involved in the daily maintenance of the ISO-9001, ISO-17025, and PED certifications. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.

Responsibilities

Quality Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the TS-DV quality team.
  • Oversee inspection and testing of product.
  • When necessary, investigate customer concerns; determine validity and propose corrective actions when necessary using 5-why methodology. Resolve complaints with voice of the customer in mind but to minimize financial impact. Arranges material return and rework.
  • Communicates with customers directly regarding quality and technical issues.
  • Assists with the oversight and administration of the overall quality management system including documentation, proper record keeping, internal auditing, calibration, proficiency test plan, monitoring of quality metrics, etc.
  • Work with all other departments to ensure quality control requirements are met and communicate quality concerns to Supervisors and Plant Management; provide communication regarding quality to hourly employees.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, supplier and subcontractor performance.
  • Oversight of product compliance to customer purchase order, specifications and regulatory and legal directives. Be knowledgeable in codes and standards as applied to product. Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and regulations when necessary.
  • Perform tasks such as: data acquisition, record keeping, review/updating SOPs, etc.
  • Performs statistical analysis when necessary to determine process capability and new process validation, Gage R&R, measurement uncertainty, etc.
  • Assist operations with all other duties as assigned.

Quality Supervisor Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in Quality Systems required;
  • Knowledge of metallurgy, mechanical testing preferred;
  • Proficient with measuring equipment;
  • High regard for Safety and Quality standards and procedures;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Collaboration and teamwork skills.
