Quality Control Inspector

JOB LOCATION
Arhaus Upholstery – Conover, NC

WEEKLY HOURS
Monday – Friday 6a – 3:30p

Quality Control Supervisor

POSITION DETAILS

JOB PURPOSE
Inspect sofas and chairs in different stages of production to ensure a quality product was produced.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure:
• Stitches are straight
• Ensure pattern is correct according to production ticket
• Ensure piece is Upholstered correctly to specifications
• Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather
• Ensure legs and finishes of legs are correct
• Make repairs as needed
Push piece back to upholster to correct issues
Other duties as assigned by the Manager

WORKING CONDITIONS
Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Manufacturing Experience.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Experience in furniture manufacturing,

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Less than High School

PREFERRED EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or Equivalent

REQUIRED SKILLS

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be able to read a ruler.
• Must be able to read an order ticket
• Must be able to tell the difference in finishes of the legs.
• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including ability to describe and convey nonconformance issues is required.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a Team Player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must have strong English language skills, including:
o Reading
o Comprehending
o Speaking
o Writing
o Communication
Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as Safety Glasses and closed-toe/closed-heel shoes.
