Job description

Position Summary

The QA Inspector works closely with the Quality, Manufacturing and Warehouse departments to assure that all in-coming, in-process and out-going product meet specifications, are inspected on a timely basis and that documentation is correct.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving inspection and test of raw materials, components and supplies, per procedure.
  • Pulls product samples for testing and inspection.
  • Performs product audits, visual and dimensional inspections and testing using gauges and other equipment.  Informs Quality Supervisor, QA Manager and Manufacturing Manager of any failures.
  • Must follow current Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
  • Generates Product Certs and necessary by assuring and completeness of DHR's.
  • Keeps accurate records of inspection through the use of inspections sheets, charts, and computer and maintains there records through a filing system (DHR).
  • Assists Team Members as required.
  • Performs QA Data entry.
  • Read and interpret part drawings and Quality Plans.
  • Makes sure all records on each lot or product are correct and filed properly.
  • Assists the Warehouse department by having finished product ready to ship on schedule.
  • Collect, document and store product retains.
  • Maintains a neat, safe and clean work area.
  • Supports quality system objectives.
  • Follows all QA procedures and work instructions as applicable.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Employee may be exposed to extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employees is regularly required to use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk, hear and use machinery; reach with hands and arms; and grasping with hands. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk; bend; twist; push and pull; stoop, twist; and crouch. Employee is occasionally required to stand, squat; climb; and kneel.
