Receiving & Final Inspector | $16.00–$20.00 per hour | Day Shift

Schedule: Monday – Saturday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Sundays when needed – Required)

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Receiving & Final Inspector to support manufacturing and quality operations. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming materials and final products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality requirements. The ideal candidate has experience with dimensional inspections, technical drawings, documentation, and nonconformance reporting, with a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
Responsibilities
• Perform all duties in a safe manner and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect incoming materials, parts, and equipment to ensure compliance with job specifications and quality standards.
• Perform final inspections on finished products prior to shipment to customers.
• Review work orders, job travelers, and inspection documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Interpret customer, licensor, and internal drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Perform dimensional inspections using applicable inspection and measuring equipment.
• Conduct end-finishing tests and evaluations on finished products.
• Document all inspection results accurately on required quality records.
• Apply and maintain product identification and traceability throughout the inspection process.
• Identify nonconforming materials, generate NCRs, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Evaluate and approve services performed by outside vendors when required.
• Communicate inspection results and job status with Sales, Operations, and other departments as needed.
• Maintain inspection tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Assist with quality audits, continuous improvement efforts, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED required; trade or technical training preferred.
• Previous quality inspection experience preferred (receiving, final, or dimensional inspection).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Experience using inspection and measuring tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of nonconformance reporting and quality documentation processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow safety requirements and quality procedures consistently.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds as required.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background screening (and drug screening if required).
