Scope:
Quality Inspection of product. Inspectors are responsible to verify prior to shipping that the product meets customer requirements. Under close to minimum supervision, depending on assigned job level and skill capability, the inspector by applying one or more inspection skills will be able to process printed circuit boards through final inspection per the designated inspection and quality procedures. Inspect products thoroughly to identify major and minor defects. Inspection skills are: visual (including final and source inspection), first article reports, and package audits and checklists.
This is a 2nd shift opening with the hours of 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, M-F with overtime as needed. Initial training will be required for several months on 1st shift.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Process panels per Quality Assurance Procedure including:
  • Inspect product in-process and/or final inspection to meet quality standards
  • Identify product defects and make pass/fail decisions based on established procedures and standards
  • Identify nonconformance in completed products prior to shipment
  • Perform dimension, hole size and thickness inspection on incoming products
  • May perform rework operations including circuit touch-up to the customer specs and requirements
  • Completion of travelers and required customer reports. Create proper certification for outgoing products
  • Complete First Article dimension report, documenting all dimensions, hole sizes, and thickness per customer blueprint, including documenting actual values as measurements are taken
  • Prepare products and documentation for source inspection. Assist source inspectors, if necessary

Essential Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain focus and accuracy while performing highly detailed work
  • Ability to produce quality work under pressure
  • Experience in usage of microscopes and basic inspection tools, including calipers, micrometers and pin gauges
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Able to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, shop travelers and written instructions
  • Knowledge of IPC-6012 standards beneficial
  • Able to read, interpret and follow the IPC and Customer Specifications for both product requirements and inspection methods provided in English
  • Ability to sit in one place for extended periods of time (8 hour shift)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

Education and Experience:
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED.

Required Experience:
  • No experience required. We can train candidates with the essential knowledge and skills.

Preferred Experience:
  • PCB/CCA experience preferred, but not required. Previous quality inspection experience or electronic assembly background helpful.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
