Job description

Job Title: Equipment Maintenance Technician (Thin Films)
Location: Gresham, OR (relocation package available)
Employment Type: Direct hire employee with full benefits
Industry: Semiconductors
Compensation: $25/hour to $50/hour DOE, plus sign on bonus ($3,000 w/ Associates, $5,000 w/ Bachelors) plus shift differential
Schedule: Night shift Shift D - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, every other Saturday, 7 PM -7:06 AM (15% differential)

There are 3 openings for the Thin Film Equipment Maintenance Technician on either shift D above or shift B (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, e/o Saturday 7 PM -7:06 AM)

What You'll Do:


  • Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose the root cause, and make reliability improvement recommendations.
  • Dismantle, adjust, and repair equipment in accordance with maintenance specifications and repair manuals.
  • Use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges, and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis, and repair of equipment.
  • Drive solutions and guidelines, recommending and writing maintenance procedures and specifications.
  • Perform scheduled tool qualifications.
  • Vendor management and coordination.
  • Opportunity to provide leadership to other technicians by providing training and mentoring.

  • Work is performed in a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.
  • May require the use of an APR (air-purifying respirator).
  • May require the occasional use of personal protective equipment, including but not limited to aprons, heat gloves, and full-face masks.
  • Requires standing for up to 75% of the shift
  • Requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and voltages up to 1500 Volts.

What You'll Bring (Requirements):
  • Associate/technical degree or currently working towards a degree
  • Minimum 2 years of prior technician experience with Thin Films area equipment: AMAT Endura - both PVD/CVD (TxZ), AMAT Centura (HDP and DxZ), AMAT Producer (SACVD), Novellus Concept 2 (Speed, Sequel, and Altus). along with:
    • Methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction
    • Ability to independently learn systems and processes associated with the role
