Our Specialty Thin Film Division develops highly engineered custom thin film products for customers with demanding technical and reliability requirements. We are seeking an Engineering & Technology Manager to join our leadership team and help drive the next phase of growth and operational excellence at our Warwick, Rhode Island facility.
Position Summary
The Engineering & Technology Manager provides leadership for the site's engineering organization and plays a key role in improving manufacturing performance, supporting customers, developing new technologies, and driving continuous improvement.
This position combines engineering leadership with business leadership. Working closely with Operations, Product Marketing, Quality, and Sales, you will help improve manufacturing capability, develop innovative technical solutions, support new business opportunities, and execute initiatives that strengthen the competitiveness of the business.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team.
  • Support manufacturing through process improvement, problem solving, and technical leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, productivity, yield, and cost reduction.
  • Lead new product introductions and manufacturing technology improvements.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Product Marketing, and Sales to support customers and win new business.
  • Evaluate manufacturing equipment, capital investments, and automation opportunities.
  • Lead engineering projects from concept through successful implementation.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications Required
  • Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years of engineering leadership experience.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities
  • Semiconductor, thin film, microelectronics, precision manufacturing, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control and quality systems preferred.
  • Experience with automation and advanced manufacturing technologies preferred.
