Interns typically assist professional editors by organizing footage, syncing audio, creating rough cuts, and learning editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Avid Media Composer. This role allows interns to develop technical skills, understand storytelling through editing, and build a network within the film industry. The internship is often part-time and may be unpaid, but it can be a valuable stepping stone toward a career in film editing.
