Whirlpool Corporation is seeking a Senior Analyst Brand Creative (Art Director) for WoW Studios-our in-house, award-winning creative agency and studio. We're a growing team of passionate, collaborative humans focused on best-in-class advertising, storytelling, and consumer experience across all of Whirlpool's brands, including KitchenAid, Whirlpool, JennAir, Maytag, and Amana. We're committed to elevating and increasing Whirlpool's output of campaigns, content, design, experiences, and digital innovation across every consumer touchpoint-in-store, film, social, digital, experiential, and more.
This role is onsite at our WoW Studios Chicago or Riverview Campus in Benton Harbor.
In this role, you'll help develop highly conceptual, visually compelling campaigns and experiences that drive results and build our brands. Through sophisticated design and strong art direction, you'll solve marketing and consumer challenges that lead to business growth, powerful brands, and the experiences our consumers love-delivering high-quality creative on time and ensuring brand consistency across the entire consumer journey.
WoW Studios is headquartered in the historic Reid Murdoch Building at the edge of Chicago's Riverwalk, with a presence at Whirlpool's Global Headquarters in Benton Harbor, MI.
A portfolio showcasing your art direction experience-sophisticated, concept-driven work across multiple channels (print, film, digital, social, and/or experiential)-is required to be considered for this position, so please include a link to your portfolio on your resume or as an attachment to your application.
Your responsibilities will include
  • Partner with a copywriter to develop innovative, original creative solutions to complex brand challenges, generating fresh ideas that keep our brands relevant and engaging.
  • Apply a strategic understanding of business goals, brand foundations, and target audiences to inform creative decisions and assess broader organizational impact.
  • Translate complex briefs into clear concepts and polished deliverables across the consumer journey.
  • Create visually sophisticated designs, layouts, and graphics that reflect each brand's voice, values, and identity.
  • Art direct highly conceptual campaigns and experiences across print, digital, social, experiential, in-store, and film.
  • Direct photo and video shoots, partnering with directors, photographers, animators, and production teams to bring creative storytelling to life-arriving on set with a clear vision and balancing brand and entertainment needs against conversion-driven deliverables.
  • Oversee the development of creative and post-production assets, working with designers, editors, and other production partners to ensure the agreed-upon vision is accomplished.
  • Partner with PGM, PM, production, and design teams to deliver projects on time and uphold brand standards.
  • Incorporate feedback from project leadership with a self-critical approach, continually refining work to a high standard.
  • Manage your time, deadlines, and goals independently to drive continuous progress.

Minimum requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of digital and content creation experience for national or global brands

Preferred skills and experiences
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, advertising, visual communication or fine arts
  • Demonstrated success across the funnel-from brand-building and awareness to content, commerce, and shopper campaigns across digital and in-store that grow the business and brand love
  • Strong digital design chops, with experience creating content that moves consumers through the funnel and resonates across digital and social platforms
  • A track record of building brands at scale-shaping perception, deepening affinity, and elevating how a brand shows up in the market
  • A creative and analytic mind that connects business goals with bold creative thinking
  • Experience through all phases of production, edits, and final execution-partnering with both internal and external studio production teams, external agencies, and specialist vendors
  • Ability to influence audiences and stakeholders with compelling presentations that link creative concepts to data and insights
  • A bias for action and drive to raise the bar-challenging the status quo, building on others' ideas, and giving and receiving feedback with a constructive, can-do attitude
  • An absolute savant in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools, and other relevant tools
