Purpose:

The Multi Skill Operator โ€“ Wet End Specialist has several primary purposes, including assisting with the 5S of the Wet Ends and other satellite areas, managing the movement of material through the poly room, assisting the EHS Manager with all forms of waste, and filling in on the production lines or in the mix room as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Internal certification in safe use of forklifts
  • Internal certification in safe use of overhead cranes
  • Internal certification in use of trash compactor
  • Ability to use utility knife and common hand tools safely
  • Ability to read tape measure with decimal and fraction scale
  • Ability to use basic math skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows and KBM
  • RCRA Trained
  • DOT Trained

Primary Functions:

  • Monitor and help maintain the 5S of the Mix Room, Poly Room, 90-Day Area, Organic Peroxide Storage, and Drum Storage
  • Triple rinse organic peroxide drums and dispose of appropriately
  • Process waste resin through the Poly Room and dispose of appropriately
  • Prepare hazardous waste drums for shipment
  • Assist the lines with daily activities such as waste removal, 5S work, breaks, and TPM work
  • Supply the Wet Ends of the lines with necessary raw materials
  • Break down packaging materials and sort into waste and returnable items
  • Fill in on the production lines and in the mix room as needed to cover for absences or breaks.
