DG has expertise in deploying digital tools in agriculture, health, aid management, data & data strategy, extractives, information management systems, open contracting & procurement, and beyond. We support partners in over seventy countries around the globe to better collect, analyze, visualize, and use data by building digital tools, creating strong incentive structures and processes, and providing training and support.

Job Description

The Program Coordinator will support a key DG program. This three-year, multinational program will focus on improving AI use and effectiveness among government agencies.

In this transversal, early career role, you will support the project in preparing communications materials; tracking data for monitoring and evaluation frameworks; scheduling, coordinating, and taking notes during regular check-in meetings and/or reviewing the accuracy of notes taken by AI agents; ensuring excellent knowledge management through proper documentation in relevant project folders; event coordination and support; and coordinating budget tracking and subcontractor budget tracking.

A wide degree of latitude and responsibility is expected. Proactive, creative, and detail-oriented problem-solvers are encouraged to apply.

Scope of Work
  • Track and monitor project outputs and deliverables for monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Contribute to writing reports, including internal status updates and the Quarterly Performance Report.
  • Prepare training materials, presentation materials, etc.
  • Coordinate budget tracking and subcontractor budget tracking, as relevant.
  • Develop communications materials, such as Success Story submissions, with direction from the project team.
  • Coordinate events and related support activities.
  • Conduct scheduling and coordination as needed.
  • Prepare meeting summaries and action items, and/or conduct quality checks for AI-generated notes of team meetings.
  • Ensure knowledge management by preparing meeting notes and filing documentation in project folders.
  • Manage multiple priorities and project tasks independently to ensure high quality of outputs.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred, or the equivalent professional related experience or credentials. Candidates from all academic majors are encouraged to apply.
  • 3 years of work experience; work experience may include internships, part-time jobs, or a combination of both.
  • Experience managing budget progress, tracking expenditures, and assisting in successful project execution.
  • Experience with managing event planning and logistics, including online events.
  • Familiarity with basic concepts in (a) monitoring and evaluation and (b) artificial intelligence, with experience in utilizing AI tools to accomplish basic tasks.
  • Experience working with a remote/distributed team and with globally distributed stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace/G Suite (Docs, Sheets) or similar collaborative software; experience with (or willingness to learn) project management software such as Asana.

  • Experience in contract and sub-contract administration.
  • Familiarity with global politics, particularly at the intersection of tech and national discourse.
  • Familiarity with the politics of Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.

  • Experience working on artificial intelligence analysis, data use, and data effectiveness.
Compensation

This is a full-time position. Since many stakeholders are located outside of the US, you should expect to start most of your work days by 8 AM EST. The projected salary for this position is between $55,000 and $60,000 annually, plus a comprehensive and generous benefits package.

Location

This position is based in the Washington, DC area. We have a hybrid work environment split between working remotely and working from our downtown office in the dynamic and just-renovated Open Gov Hub. This position requires working in-person from the Hub at least two days per week between Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as when needed for project purposes other days of the work week.

This position is not eligible for fully remote work or relocation outside of the Washington, DC area.
