Job Summary:
Velocity Flex is seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to provide advanced, hands-on technical assistance for their office infrastructure. The role focuses heavily on Windows 11, finance tools, and database applications, requiring expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Responsibilities:
• Deliver expert face-to-face technical help and handle escalated, complex hardware and software issues at employee desks.
• Install, configure, and optimize Windows 11 environments, Microsoft Outlook client setups, and advanced email profiles.
• Maintain, patch, and troubleshoot QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions, including managing multi-user company file connectivity and server hosting.
• Provide front-end user assistance, manage security permissions, and maintain network connectivity for our FileMaker databases.
• Oversee workspace hardware deployment, including desktops, dual monitors, docking stations, and office networks for new hires.
• Maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot in-room video conferencing setups, projectors, smart screens, and audio equipment
• Manage and audit physical IT assets, license compliance, spare laptops, cables, and server room equipment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of professional IT support experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Deep operational and architecture-level troubleshooting knowledge of Windows 11.
• Expert-level familiarity with Microsoft Outlook configuration, registry-level fixes, PST/OST recovery, and mailbox integrations.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting QuickBooks Enterprise and FileMaker database environments.
• Proficiency with physical PC hardware builds, local network cabling, switches, and workplace printer hardware.
• Ability to lift and move computer towers, heavy monitors, UPS backups, and server equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to bend, crawl under desks to manage cables, and climb ladders to service ceiling-mounted Wi-Fi routers.
