Job description

Job SummarySEACORP is currently seeking an Assistant Facility Security Officer. The Assistant Facility Officer will provide administrative support to the Facility Security department by performing basic clerical functions as well as administering more complex, yet routine processes and providing assistance for non-routine processes/events. The Assistant Facility Security Officer works effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a high level of attention to detail, effective organizational skills, ability to prioritize competing demands, and excellent customer service skills. Tasking will require advanced-level use of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook; average level use of other programs including Publisher, Access, Internet Explorer, Adobe PDF, SharePoint, Deltek Time & Expense, ADP Workforce Now, FileMaker, JPAS and related systems.

Job Responsibilities Include: 

  • Assist FSO with clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, filing, creating/updating forms and other documents.
  • Process Incoming and Outgoing Visit Authorization Requests including entering information into Security FileMaker or Access database, JPAS, and other location-specific forms and systems.
  • Complete security orientation for new hires with existing clearances, without existing clearances, and unclassified employees including processing ownership of existing clearances, initiating new clearances, and tracking completion of required briefings.
  • Update sources of information such as SharePoint, New Hire discs, newsletter articles, and all hands messages.
  • Maintain department-specific supplies and documents, including ensuring supply levels and accuracy of content for new hire orientation discs, debriefing packages, and other documentation.
  • Track employee completion of annual required briefings and trainings.
  • Track due dates for employee clearance reinvestigations and initiate and monitor processing including working with employees on required tasks.
  • Assist with self-inspections, annual DSS assessments, and investigations of security violations.
  • Track long-term visitor badges and keys and process new requests for building and/or network access.
  • Maintain classified library including classified document control/distribution and database management, and ensuring the room is properly secured and all policies and procedures are being followed.
  • Assist employees in obtaining and maintaining SEA CORP, NUWC, and CAC badges including completion of SAARN and other required forms.
  • Monitor Security Post Office Box for incoming classified material.
  • Entering data updates to Security databases with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain Security files in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
  • Assist Security Officer with special projects and other emergent needs.
  • Participates in department staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as required.
  • Share responsibility for reception duties with the HR department including answering phones and receiving visitors.
