If you’re a seasoned accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career, this opportunity offers the chance to lead engagements, mentor junior team members, and deepen your impact in a collaborative, client-focused environment, particularly if you bring strong experience in Review and Compilation engagements.

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll take on a leadership role across a variety of client engagements, with a strong emphasis on Review and Compilation work. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and review year-end working paper files for Compilation and Review engagements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards
  • Plan and execute Review engagements, identifying issues, analyzing financial information, and ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Oversee and contribute to audit assignments, including supervising fieldwork and reviewing supporting documentation
  • Prepare and review corporate, personal, and trust tax returns, ensuring compliance and identifying tax planning opportunities where applicable
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing relationships, addressing inquiries, and providing guidance throughout engagements
  • Mentor and support junior team members, reviewing their work and contributing to their professional development
  • Collaborate with managers and partners on special projects and process improvements
  • Ensure all work aligns with firm policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications & Experience
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a public accounting firm, with strong exposure to Review and Compilation engagements
  • CPA designation (or near completion) required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, and Canadian tax principles
  • Advanced proficiency with CaseWare, CaseView, TaxPrep, and Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client relationships

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys leading Review and Compilation engagements and is ready to take on greater responsibility in both client service and team development. You’ll join a supportive environment where your expertise is recognized, your leadership is valued, and your continued growth is a priority.
