Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Estimate Reviewer to join our ย team remotely in Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements.

The successful applicant will be required to review the estimates of the network contractors, ensure the technical accuracy of the bid, ensure that program guidelines are followed, and ensure that industry standards are followed. Performing quality checking of file documentation, proper use of estimating software and pricing as well as proposed estimating of repairs meets customer standards and requirements. Reviews additional repair specifications received and completes the secondary review process for technical accuracy and adherence to industry standards. The candidate will also be responsible for communication between contractors, the regional manager and with claims adjusters

The salary range is $54,000 to $67,000 annually

  • Minimum 5 years experience in construction / disaster restoration or property damage adjusting
  • Strong working knowledge & experience with property adjusting or construction estimating / restoration work for multiple loss types and situations including but not limited to:
    • Water damage
    • Fire & Smoke damage

    • Asbestos abatement / Mold remediation
    • Wind / Hail (Roofing & Siding)
    • Mitigation & drying processes for water damage restoration

  • Reviews network contractor repair estimates to ensure estimates are technically accurate and meet appropriate industry guidelines, client instructions and standards for repairs
  • Compiles specific estimate revision requests and interacts with network contractors (verbal and written) to obtain appropriate estimate correctionsย 
  • Identification of scope discrepancies including missing line items, inflated costs, incorrect materials and grades of materials
  • Evaluation of equipment estimated including review of drying documentation as outlined by IICRC
  • Manage multiple assignments and tasks within each assignment in XactAnalysis Estimate Review Queues
  • Understands and comprehends multiple network programs, guidelines, and requirements
  • Interacts with clients (verbal and written) for specific discussions relating to assignment activity
