Senior Vice President, Closing and Loan Operations Manager

We are seeking a SVP, Closing and Loan Operations Manager. In this position, you will provide leadership, training, and oversite for the Loan Closing and Construction Disbursement teams, and work closing with the Operational team who support the SBA and Conventional Emerging Middle Market Lending team. Your leadership will create process and procedures for the team and partner with the Credit, Portfolio, and Specific touch points for reporting or SBA Compliance with 1502. This position will be responsible for forecasting and reporting loan information needed for loan sales, loan closings, SBA 504 Debenture Fundings, and post close construction and loan disbursements. As the Manager you will provide directions, use your delegated authority to review and approve specific control points that will ensure the separation of duties for the individual team members. Experience with LaserPro and Spark (LOS) is a plus.


Responsibilities:

-Review and approve – SBA control points in the process to protect Banks 750 Agreement and the bank Credit Policy

-Manage and direct daily workflow, assignments and teamwork activities for their positions with the bank and use of systems, and platforms.

-Monitor and evaluate the team compliance with SOP and Etran requirements for the SBA Guaranty to include eligibility requirements, equity verification, loan settlement, loan and SBA fee payments, etc.

-Monitor and direct attorney compliance with their involvement in the closing process, loan documentation and ensure compliance with Bank and SBA requirements.

-Manage closings supported by attorney prepared documents for SBA and LaserPro documented Conventional Loans.

-Control Quality, Review and Approval of the Pre Close File Review, Loan Document,

-Authority to review and approve, and authorize payments

  • SBA Guaranty Fee Payments
  • Wire Instructions for process with loan operations
  • Payments from Loan Fundings up to the full loan amount

In accordance with Bank funding / wire process

  • Approval funding for all construction, post close funding per CAM.
  • Approval authority to modify and close out Use of Proceeds on project in accordance with SBA Requirement NO Material Change to the loan structure, ensure file is properly documented and have SBA Servicing updated by team.
  • Approve the funding and close out for Applications, declined and or withdrawn during all stages of the process. Review and approve documentation from team including reconciliation of reimbursement for bank and refund payments from deposited funds.
  • Negotiate loan documents with the Bank closing Counsel as needed.

Including the borrower lease, Landlord Waiver, Subordination Documentation (all part of the required documentation in loans and called out in the Loan Conditions for Close or SBA T & C.)

  • Execute all loan documents for the Bank associated with loan closing, Payoffs for Loan Operations for 504 loans, and as needed for Loan Operations.

-Manage directly the Closing, Construction team, providing training and guidance.

-Work collaboratively with Sales, Credit, Loan Servicing, Loan Operations. 

-Provide SBA Information across the SBA division to ensure the team is current with changes within the program.

Compensation: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $150,000-$200,000, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated success. This position is also eligible for annual incentive compensation.
