The Opportunity
The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a UI/UX Developer to join our Marketing Technology team. This role blends front-end development, UI/UX execution, and digital optimization to deliver premium, frictionless fan experiences across web, mobile, and interactive platforms.
You will help design, develop, and evolve the Grizzlies' digital products-building interfaces, optimizing performance, integrating CMS content, and leveraging modern JavaScript frameworks to bring fan-facing experiences to life. Working closely with engineers, designers, and marketing partners, you will implement solutions that drive engagement, efficiency, and scalability.
This position also supports real-time gameday updates and digital operations during events. A flexible schedule is required, including evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
In This Role You Will
UI/UX Development & Front-End Execution
  • Design, develop, and optimize fan-facing experiences across web and mobile.
  • Be proactive in discovering and identifying fan facing digital issues with a fan-first mindset
  • Demonstrate proficiency with HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, React and related front-end technologies
  • Build responsive web interfaces using React-based technologies.
  • Implement state management solutions (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or similar) to support scalable, performant applications.
  • Create and maintain reusable UI components and patterns within our design system.
  • Convert wireframes and mockups into accurate, accessible interfaces.
  • Ensure components and data integrate correctly with existing systems

Experience & Conversion Optimization
  • Elevate the user journey through thoughtful UX, intuitive flow, and refined interactions.
  • Support A/B testing, user flow optimization, and conversion funnel improvements.
  • Identify UX and performance bottlenecks and implement smart, measurable improvements.

Content & CMS Support
  • Integrate and manage content within a headless CMS environment.
  • Maintain landing pages, campaign pages, and high-visibility marketing assets.
  • Support real-time gameday content updates across digital channels.
  • Improve content modeling, structured data workflows, and authoring experiences.
  • Contribute to internal tools that streamline content creation and publishing.
  • Help refine tooling and workflows to accelerate team execution and strengthen documentation.

Technical Collaboration & Quality
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and product partners to deliver high-quality digital products.

The Experience You Will Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Technology or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience years building digital experiences with React, Next.js, React Native, and TypeScript.
  • Proven wireframing and digital design skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot front-end issues and support implementation challenges.
  • Strong experience architecting state-management for scalable applications.
  • Proficiency integrating REST APIs, handling async data, and implementing modern front-end patterns.
  • Strong Git/GitHub workflows (branching strategy, PR discipline, merge best practices).
  • Comfort working within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of component architecture, SSR, performance optimization, telemetry, and debugging.
  • Experience working with headless CMS platforms and content workflows.
