About the Position

Support the CRE originations team by leading and coordinating the administrative and documentation processes required to close commercial real estate loans accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate the loan closing process from approval through funding.
  • Ensure loan documents are finalized and consistent with approved business terms.
  • Ensure accuracy of fees, rates, payoffs, escrows, impounds, and reserve figures; reconcile with the loan documents and title settlement statement.
  • Manage third-party reports and confirm all material findings are addressed through documentation, structure, or reserves.
  • Track and collect all borrower closing deliverables, ensuring documents are dated, signed, and in final form.
  • Confirm all compliance-related closing items are completed.
  • Maintain complete file documentation, including business approvals, internal back-office signoffs, and external counsel approvals.
  • Coordinate closely with originations, legal, underwriting, servicing, operations, and external counsel.
  • Help identify and implement process improvements to make closings more efficient.
  • Facilitate third-party support where appropriate to improve execution capacity.
  • Support post-closing file organization and handoff as needed.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant CRE loan closing, loan administration, transaction management, or similar experience.
  • Paralegal or legal-documentation experience.
  • Strong familiarity with commercial real estate loan documentation and closing workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and drive timelines across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and judgment.
  • Experience working with outside counsel, third-party vendors, and internal control functions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain FIG’s closing process with counterparties.
