Job Summary: Looking for Part-Time Tutors
Are you an experienced tutor or teacher looking to work with motivated students in a supportive, professional environment? Do you have a strong track record working with students in Middle School and High School? Do you enjoy one-on-one instruction and helping students build confidence and get measurable results?
Breakaway is seeking passionate and sociable Math tutors available to work at multiple offices. Tutors who join our team set their own schedules for one-on-one sessions. Compensation starts at $30 per hour. The ideal candidate is reliable, understanding, and has a passion for education. 

About Us:
Breakaway Prep is a boutique tutoring and test prep company based in Chatham, NJ, with offices in Summit, Millburn, Maplewood, Livingston, Morristown, Westfield, Berkeley Heights, and Montclair. We primarily work with students in grades 7–12, providing instruction for the SAT, ACT, ISEE/SSAT, AP exams, as well as specific academic subjects.

Requirements:
1. 1+ years of experience tutoring or teaching Math (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and/or Calculus)
2. Bachelor's Degree
3. Has reliable transportation
4. Passion for teaching middle and high school students and strong social skills
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

6. Multiple positive references
7. Experience with SAT and/or ACT test preparation preferred (training provided for strong candidates).
8. Ability to pass a background check
Please note: Selected candidates may be asked to complete a brief online skills assessment in SAT/ACT math to demonstrate subject mastery.
