Job description

Company Overview:
Our business provides recreational services for children as young as 18 months to adults. We do this through a variety of activities and programming through clinics, leagues, camps, and events.
Job Summary:
Provide a safe, fun, friendly, and structured environment for youth and adult league participants. A referee will be responsible for promoting and enforcing safe play, managing games, enforcing indoor-specific soccer rules of play, all while providing a great customer experience of sportsmanship and fair play. Referees need to be professional, great communicators, organized, manage stressful situations and of course customer friendly.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Greet teams while entering the field
  • Adhere to strict soccer and safety rules for league players while following company policies
  • Assist league players on understanding rules specific to indoor soccer
  • Manage games professionally and consistently to the standards of East Bay Sports
  • Provide an exceptional league experience for players and spectators
  • Communicate any necessary needs to League Manager such as customer follow-up, or foul play
  • Performs his or her job in a friendly, courteous manner at all times
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a referee is preferred (Referee training will be given once hired if necessary)
  • Ability to work with adults (our adult leagues are on Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, & Fri evenings 6:30pm to 10pm. Sun 4-6pm as well)
  • Ability to work with kids (our U6 to High School youth leagues are 3:30-6:30pm on weekdays and all day Sat and Sun)
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisors and with customers
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 4 hours)

Compensation: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
