Position Description
Purpose
The Field Assistant I provides administrative and basic technical support to field operations. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of project documentation, supporting field teams, and maintaining organized records. Work is primarily task-driven and performed under close supervision.
Focus & Scope
Essential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below:
Administrative & Clerical Support
  • Maintain project files, records, and documentation (electronic and hard copy)
  • Perform data entry, filing, copying, and general correspondence
  • Assist with preparation and distribution of reports and project documentation
Project Support
  • Create and process purchase orders and material receiving documentation
  • Assist with accounts payable coordination and invoice tracking
  • Maintain daily logs, USA tickets, and basic project records
  • Support coordination of materials and deliveries
Field & Team Support
  • Provide general support to Superintendents, Project Managers, and field staff
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating logistics
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal teams and external partners
Safety & Compliance
  • Participate in safety meetings and training
  • Support documentation of safety records and compliance tracking

  • Business Development Representative, Estimating Manager, Take-off Technician, Engineering Technician, Superintendents, Project Managers, Administrative Manager, Contract Administrator, Cost Analysts, Estimators, Project Engineers, Administrative Staff, Materials, and other business units
Role Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required
Experience & Industry Expertise:
  • 1-3 years of administrative or construction-related experience preferred
Specific Job Requirements:
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug, alcohol, and background investigation
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Current on all company required safety training
  • Ability to preserve confidential and proprietary information and successfully avoid conflicts-of-interest
  • Strong working knowledge of company's Standard Operating Policies and Procedures
Skills & Knowledge
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines
  • Basic understanding of construction office processes preferred

BASE SALARY RANGE:
$45,000 - $63,000
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role, level, geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other factors.
