This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company's locations: Maverick Golf and Ranch Club, set outside of Fort Worth, Texas.
Maverick Golf and Ranch Club is seeking an Outside Services attendant to join the Golf Operations Department. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate daily with Assistant Golf Professionals and Outside Services Manager about day's events and operations.
  • Assure golf cars are cleaned and washed per club procedures.
  • Maintain clean towels, including washing, drying, and folding.
  • Set up members and guest's bags for play.
  • Put away member and guest bags in proper storage location and in timely fashion.
  • Greet members and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Load bags and move carts to cart staging area.
  • Clean all players' golf clubs thoroughly.
  • Help Practice Range Attendant with the set-up of hitting stations.
  • Collect golf balls from chipping area and range field on the Practice Facility.
  • Restock buckets and pick range when needed.
  • Park and retrieve member, guest and customer vehicles or golf carts in specified areas in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Will be responsible to drive, pick up, or drop off members and VIP guests around the local area, which includes the airport.
  • Perform drive and park assignments per department policies/procedures.
  • Keep parking areas clean and orderly.
  • Provide member assistance and information, such as giving directions, handling baggage, assisting with wheelchairs loading and unloading, etc.
  • Ensure that members and guests belongings are retrieved and delivered to the proper outlet.
  • Maintain clean transportation shuttles and company vehicles (basic cleaning services including car wash, wiping interiors, and brief vacuuming to remove sand and dirt, but not full detailing services).
  • Provide deliveries/pickups as needed, and run other errands as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Prior experience and proven success in the hospitality or service industry is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Knowledge of golf rules and etiquette.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.

  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
