As a Field Support Specialist / Laborer at Coastal Waste & Recycling, you'll play an important role in supporting our collection and post-collection operations by helping keep our facilities, equipment, and worksites safe, clean, and running efficiently.

Your Role
As a Field Support Specialist / Laborer, you'll perform a variety of hands-on tasks that support our daily operations across collection and post-collection facilities. You'll work alongside drivers, heavy equipment operators, recycling personnel, maintenance employees, and operations leadership to help maintain safe, organized, and productive work environments.
Every day is different, and your willingness to jump in wherever needed makes a direct impact on the success of our team.
What You'll Do
  • Perform a variety of manual labor tasks that support collection and post-collection operations.
  • Assist with facility cleanup, housekeeping, litter collection, pressure washing, and site organization.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize materials, containers, tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Support drivers, heavy equipment operators, maintenance employees, recycling personnel, and other operational team members.
  • Assist with traffic control, spotting equipment, directing vehicles, and maintaining safe work areas.
  • Perform basic facility maintenance, painting, landscaping, and general site improvement projects.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, pressure washers, and other equipment as assigned.
  • Identify and report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or operational concerns.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environments while following company housekeeping standards.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and operational procedures.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely around heavy equipment, commercial vehicles, and industrial operations.
  • Support storm response, special projects, and other operational initiatives as business needs require.
