The Role: Field Support Specialist

What You'll Do:


Stakeholder Coordination & Process Improvement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technicians, subcontractors, carriers, fleet providers, and internal departments regarding fleet, inventory, shipping, and cellular support activities.
  • Coordinate issue resolution, provide status updates, and escalate unresolved operational issues when necessary.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions when appropriate.
  • Support implementation of new systems, processes, and operational initiatives as assigned.


Fleet Management

  • Maintain driver, vehicle, and fleet records within Enterprise Fleet, WEX, and other fleet management systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
  • Add and update driver information, vehicle assignments, certifications, registrations, insurance documentation, and related records.
  • Coordinate vehicle assignments, swaps, new vehicle deliveries, and rental vehicle arrangements based on operational requirements.
  • Order and manage fuel cards, maintenance cards, insurance cards, toll tags, and other fleet-related resources.
  • Monitor vehicle registrations, inspections, recalls, and insurance coverage to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Process accident and incident documentation, coordinate insurance claims, and manage vehicle repair activities through resolution.
  • Monitor fleet utilization, maintenance schedules, mileage thresholds, and operational records to support efficient fleet management.
  • Review, process, and maintain records of fleet-related expenses, including fuel, tolls, rentals, and other vehicle-related charges.


Shipping & Logistics Coordination

  • Manage and prioritize outbound shipment requests to ensure materials and equipment are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Coordinate shipping activities between warehouse operations, field teams, and transportation providers.
  • Track shipments, investigate delivery exceptions, and facilitate resolution of shipping issues.


Inventory Transfer & Replenishment Management

  • Process inventory transfer requests between warehouses, technicians, and field locations, ensuring accuracy of part numbers, quantities, and destination information.
  • Enter and maintain transfer transactions and tracking information within Sedona and other designated systems.
  • Verify transfer completion, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accurate inventory movement records.
  • Adjust inventory parameters in coordination with operations leadership to support changing business demands.
  • Assist with inventory audits, cycle counts, reconciliations, and corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy.


Cellular Device & SIM Activations

  • Process SIM activation, upgrade, and deactivation requests while ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
  • Perform Over-the-Air (OTA) updates for technicians and subcontractors as needed.
  • Enter and maintain accurate activation data, including IMEI numbers, dialer assignments, and user records within company and carrier systems.
  • Troubleshoot activation and connectivity issues and coordinate resolution with AT&T, FirstNet, and internal support teams.
  • Maintain accurate records of all activations, upgrades, device assignments, and service changes.


What You'll Bring: 

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred. 
  • At least 2 years of experience working in supply chain, logistics, or operations required. 
  • Experience supporting operations, logistics, fleet management, inventory control, field service, warehouse operations, or customer support functions preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and administrative processes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and ensuring data integrity across multiple business systems.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours and travel occasionally to customer sites as needed.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
