Discover your exciting role
The Field Service Technician is responsible for the installation, startup, commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting, and service of chemical and gas delivery equipment at customer sites. This role requires frequent domestic and international travel and works closely with customers, engineering, operations, and service teams to ensure equipment performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Install, commission, start up, and qualify chemical and gas delivery systems at customer sites.
  • Follow established startup, testing, and commissioning procedures to ensure equipment operates according to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Work directly with customers and internal support teams to resolve technical issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Document equipment modifications, service activities, and project updates, including red-line drawing revisions.
  • Provide regular project and status updates to the Service Manager.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and service procedures.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Safety, Production, and supplier teams to support project execution and field service activities.
  • Maintain and update service documentation, procedures, and training materials as needed.
  • Follow all company and customer safety policies, procedures, and site requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to travel up to 80%, including domestic and international travel.
  • Experience installing, servicing, commissioning, or troubleshooting chemical, gas delivery, industrial process, or mechanical/electrical equipment preferred.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field and customer-site environments.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
