Job description

A market leader in the HVAC industry is looking for a Service Manager in the Ottawa/Montreal/Quebec City region.

You will be leading a team of service technicians and service call centre employees in a fast paced, high volume service center where quality, continuous improvement, customer and employee satisfaction are key objectives. You will be accountable along with your team(s) for identifying and removing barriers to efficient workflow. Strong leadership, analytical and communication skills are essential in this role. You will champion continuous improvement initiatives and lean principles in your daily management activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Motivate team to achieve various metrics (on time delivery, revenue etc)
  • Implement metrics to drive continuous improvement
  • Interface with engineering and the materials teams in support of service escalations and materials replenishment needs.
  • Resolve customer escalations via active problem solving skills
  • Adjust technical resources to meet daily throughput demands
  • Apply accountability standards based on KPIs and implements change to continuously improve performance and increase workflow efficiencies.
  • Facilitate effective and timely communication with associates through your accessibility and responsiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Result-driven leadership experience in a high paced, customer oriented, data driven company
  • Gas fitter 1 certification
  • Experience in the heating, ventilation & air conditioning industry
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred (however, direct related experience may be accepted)
  • Prior experience completing documentation that goes to customers
  • Strong skill set with MS Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
