Field Service Engineer - Atlanta (Peachtree City, GA)

Utilizing technologies such as laser, x-ray, millimeter wave, and optical systems, SIKORA delivers precision equipment that ensures product quality and process optimization. We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in Atlanta to support our growing customer base.
Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer will provide on-site technical support to customers, including equipment commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and operator training. This role requires extensive travel throughout North America, with occasional international assignments. Travel is expected to be approximately 75-80%, primarily Monday through Friday. A foundational understanding of electrical theory, strong diagnostic abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Provide on-site service and technical support to customers as required.
• Perform commissioning, repair, and training activities for SIKORA equipment.
• Deliver ongoing service support, including contract-based maintenance.
• Assist the sales team with equipment demonstrations and technical expertise.
• Evaluate system performance, components, and applications to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Maintain equipment performance by following maintenance procedures and conducting preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose issues and perform corrective repairs to optimize equipment functionality.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance.
• Document service activities and maintain detailed engineering logs.
• Complete required service reports in a timely and accurate manner.
• Uphold SIKORA's product quality and company reputation.
• Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs as needed.
