Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Remote / Regional Travel)
Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $38–$45 per hour

The Field Service Engineer provides onsite technical support for power distribution equipment used in mission-critical environments such as data centers. This role performs troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and maintenance on low-voltage gear and related systems while delivering excellent customer service.

Job Duties:
  • Provide onsite troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and commissioning for low-voltage distribution gear, transformers, and related power systems.
  • Perform break/fix work at customer locations and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and system documentation.
  • Use test equipment such as multimeters, current meters, and diagnostic tools.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical distribution and monitoring systems.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, test sheets, and documentation.
  • Attend onsite customer meetings and communicate regularly with Project Managers.
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts, consumables, and equipment in proper working condition.
  • Support installation supervision and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Escalate customer concerns and technical issues appropriately.
  • Identify areas for improvement to eliminate waste and add value.
Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electrical Power Distribution or related field, or 5+ years of relevant electrical experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience with electrical power distribution systems, AC/DC systems, or power monitoring equipment.
  • Understanding of low-voltage switchgear, transformers, and distribution equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams.
  • Experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters and current meters.
  • Data center or mission-critical experience preferred.
  • Military experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of UL standards (UL67, UL1008, UL891, UL1558, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
