Job description

We are looking for a dependable and customer-oriented Field Service Representative (FSR) to provide hands-on technical support at client locations. This role involves traveling to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment and services. The ideal candidate will have solid technical skills, great communication abilities, and a dedication to delivering top-tier customer service.

Primary Duties:

  • Client Interaction: Act as the on-site liaison for customers, resolving inquiries and technical issues promptly and professionally.

  • On-Site Services: Conduct installations, routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company equipment, ensuring all work aligns with established standards.

  • Problem Solving: Identify and fix mechanical or technical problems, collaborating with engineering or support staff when needed.

  • User Training: Provide customers with training on equipment use, safety protocols, and basic upkeep procedures.

  • Record Keeping: Log all service activities, customer communications, and repair actions accurately in internal tracking systems.

  • Issue Escalation: Relay recurring issues or customer feedback to internal departments to support product and service enhancements.

  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines and internal company policies, during field operations.

  • Tool and Inventory Management: Keep track of tools, parts, and materials used in the field, ensuring everything is properly maintained and accounted for.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Minimum of a high school diploma; technical certifications or an associate degree preferred.

  • Experience: At least 2 years in a similar field service or technical role; industry-specific experience is advantageous.

  • Core Skills:

    • Strong mechanical or electrical troubleshooting ability

    • Clear and effective communication (verbal and written)

    • Skilled in using diagnostic equipment and mobile tech

    • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals

    • Well-organized with strong time management

  • Certifications: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; industry-related certifications are a plus.

  • Physical Demands: Must be capable of lifting 75+ pounds, working at heights, and adapting to various environmental conditions (indoor/outdoor, heat, noise, etc.).
