Job description

Edwards, Inc. is a full-service industrial general contractor providing construction, fabrication, and crane services. We are currently seeking a Field Safety Representative.
Job Summary
The Field Safety Representative conducts all work in accordance with company policies, procedures, and programs.
  • The Field Safety Representative reports directly to the Field Safety Manager under the authority of the Safety Director of Edwards, Inc.
  • Support Safety Director and Field Safety Manager with enforcement of safety practices
  • Supervise safety of Field, Crane, and Fabrication Safety activities
  • Perform routine job site and shop safety audits
  • Prepare Job Hazard Analysis on upcoming jobs
  • Develop site safety plans to comply with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conducts new hire and annual OSHA training
  • Serves as a competent person for scaffolding, excavation, rigging, and crane projects, as necessary
  • Extended periods of walking, sitting, driving, and climbing apply. May require working overtime, weekends, and nights. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Pre-employment investigations and evaluations may include drug, physical functionality, criminal background, and annual MVR reviews.

Work Conditions
  • Work week- The normal work week will be Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. with occasional overtime or whatever time commitment is required that week to fulfill your duties. Weekend, night work or travel may be required.
  • Follow all rules, protocols and procedures as set forth by the Company, which may be in the form of handbooks, directives, memorandum, meetings, or other means as deemed appropriate by the Company.
  • Monitor and enforce current regulatory standards and company safety guidelines.
  • Employees should always present themselves in professional manner.
  • Always maintain professionalism. Support all company Divisions in a positive fashion.
  • Keep a daily log of all your pertinent activities. A daily log will be provided if you do not already use one.
