JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for implementing and directing the day-to-day process control and operational activities, plans, and programs to ensure efficient operation & compliance on dewatering, dredging, and cleaning service projects. Will also be responsible for leading one or more large projects ranging from $100,000 - $5,000,000. This position manages a team of operators, leads, and subcontractors for various work scopes & geographies.
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS:
  • Ensure safety is priority on all projects and for all team members. This includes adherence to policies & procedures, performing safety audits & toolbox talks, and ensure all training is completed timely and effectively.
  • Directly supervise employees as well as sub-contract services.
  • Interpret operational data and make operational changes as needed.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities to maximize uptime & productivity.
  • Successfully interface with environmental and regulatory agencies as well as generator and haulers to ensure efficient processing and delivery of material.
  • Achieve budget & other KPI targets for managed projects.
  • Manage project financials & provide accurate forecasting/scheduling.
  • >50% travel required for on-site management of projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for applying effective project management and/or performance improvement tools and techniques for system initiatives, balancing cost, schedule, and risks against projects and objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with Leadership, Sales, and Operations in support of bid and proposals
  • Write thoughtful and tailored creative content for proposals as needed
  • Develops and contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and governmental/accreditation regulations.
  • Maintain high level of integrity and professionalism in handling confidential materials daily.
  • Manage, train, supervise, and monitor performance of field personnel to ensure safe and proper operation of equipment.
  • Manage projects from proposal stage to on-site commissioning and start-up.
  • Monitors and control field operations in accordance with manufacturers O&M manuals, SOP's, and established company policies and procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of land application process, operating procedures, and standards, to properly instruct employees.
  • Frequent independent decision-making to ensure safe and proper operations are adhered.
  • Develop and maintain daily documentation relating to removal and materials land applied as well as compliance monitoring and documentation.
  • Reports daily status covering all processing and maintenance related activities to Director of Operations.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel including executive management
  • Technology savvy; knowledgeable about modern technology, proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging operational environment
  • Process and Systems oriented
  • Ability to self-manage, direct supervisory and management exp.Ability to obtain any necessary state certifications and licenses that are required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCES
  • Engineering or Construction Management degree preferred.
  • 2-5 years management or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment required.
  • Proficient computer skills & excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail. Must be able to plan and coordinate complex systems and processes.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and state/federal safety rules and regulations preferred.
  • Be able to operate heavy equipment, i.e. belt filter press, centrifuge, loader, spreader, etc. if properly trained.

2. The worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions
